The In Scribe's Build Process
Although we do have some common plans to work off, most of our builds are custom. We typically work together with the client, and one of our trusted architects to create the perfect design to suit the customers needs, and budget. A preliminary plan is then created, where the client can make any changes they may want to see. We all work together and discuss options along the way. Once there is a plan created, the customer can apply for permits if needed. This is also a good time to involve an engineer if required, as well as, any other contractors to get accurate pricing for all the finishing touches. In order to make the project enjoyable for everyone it is good to go over everything so there are no surprises along the way. Once a final plan is completed, we create a simple contract/agreement so we can book you into our build schedule.
All of our homes are pre built at our construction site, in Rocky Mountain House, AB where we pride ourselves with high quality log and timber craftsmanship. Once we have completed the package we disassemble, load onto trailers and ship the home to its final destination where an In Scribe technical supervisor will oversee the home install.
We typically supply the log or timber package only, so it is good to collaborate the finishing work with local contractors where the home is going. We can help assist with this if you wish.
